At Toile de Ville, we transform those meaningful places into timeless illustrations inspired by the elegance of traditional French toile. Each piece is thoughtfully concepted, art directed, and refined to celebrate not only the architecture of a place, but the memories and stories that make it unforgettable.
Every illustration begins with a conversation about the place itself — what it looks like, and just as importantly, why it matters. From there, each piece is hand-designed and reinterpreted in classical toile style, then refined through multiple rounds until the details feel true to the place.
Finished pieces are printed to order on archival-quality materials, so each one is built to become a lasting part of a home — not a disposable print.
Our inaugural Kansas City Collection features six iconic landmarks — the Country Club Plaza, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Union Station, the Liberty Memorial, The Scout, and the Meyer Circle Fountain. Every illustration is available as a fine art print in four signature colorways: Heritage Ink Black, Toile Blue, Antique Rose, and French Garden Green.
Kansas City is only the beginning. Our vision is to build a collection of beautifully illustrated places from across the country — from beloved neighborhoods and university campuses to historic landmarks, lakeside cottages, and destinations that hold a special place in people's hearts.

I'm Keara McKinley, the artist behind Toile de Ville.
I created Toile de Ville because I've always believed the places we love become part of who we are. The home where we raised our children. The lake house where generations gather every summer. The neighborhood we still drive through years later. The church where we celebrated life's biggest moments.
Kansas City has been my home for many years, and this first collection is my love letter to the city that has shaped so much of my own story.
While I love illustrating beloved landmarks, the commissions I treasure most are the deeply personal ones. Every custom piece begins with a conversation. I want to understand not only what a place looks like, but why it matters. The memories, traditions, and moments connected to it become just as important as the architecture itself.
My hope is that every Toile de Ville illustration becomes more than a beautiful piece of art. It becomes a lasting reminder of the places that tell your story.
